Our new adventure!

So... Long time no talk! :) I love how life always surprises me and the path God is leading me on!

I have been learning so much at the Women's Business Development Center Fast Trac Course the past few weeks that all entrepreneurs need to know to own a successful business. From having a business plan to knowing how much revenue you need to make in order to pay yourself a certain salary to marketing/advertising tips! I'm loving it! The diverse group of women also blows my mind! I can't help but mention Gabby of her children's clothing swap shop in Bridgeport Those are just my natural connectors working internally that I can't help but release! hehe :) Hence the reason for me creating my Connection business! And speaking of...... I have not lost hope nor am I giving up, but my amazing husband, Danny and I were offered a position working together! We'll be property managers for an independent living retirement community and we'll be living on site in Guilford, CT after our 5 week training in Lenox, MA. It is a phenomenal opportunity and I am unsure of what our schedule will be so I want to focus on this new experience and get settled into our new area and then continue on my path of the Connections business. Which leads to a whole new world of networking as we are required to encourage move-ins into the facility we'll be working at. This is such a new and exciting challenge and what a beautiful opportunity to work together with my husband in unity while serving others! We thank God every day for allowing us this opportunity! My husband and I have a beautiful and genuine relationship with God and we are eternally grateful!

On a personal note we went to a picnic in Southington, CT with our fellowship yesterday and God blessed us with such a gorgeous day! I haven't had such a good time in so long! We played volleyball for a few hours and it reminded me of how much I miss it and really enjoy playing! I was complimented on how well I played and it really made me blush! It brought out a healthy competitiveness and realization that I need to be more active (and not just at the gym) and remind myself to have fun in life! Because us ladies got laughing so hard and that deep down belly laughing!!!! :)

Until next time.... Big Hugs! :) Heather

Time for Celebration!

I have had such an amazing week and had to share! Smiles! :) I love my life and thank God every day for all my blessings! :) First I want to celebrate getting offered a position with a company I have been praying to work with for a few weeks now! WOO HOO! I will begin in a few weeks and am sooooo excited! My friend Karen Hinds of Workplace Success gave me some amazing tips to sit down and strategize before and during my employment there! Thank you Karen! I am so blessed to have you in my life. :) My husband is doing so well with his business and I am just so proud of him!

I am applying for an incredible program to help me develop my business plan through the Women's Business Development Center and am praying I get accepted! I feel that this course will really give me so many skills to help me as a business owner.

I am also very happy since I'm developing some speaking points for future presentations on Networking and building relationships. I'll be working very hard in the next 6-10 weeks to develop a teleseminar on How to Use Facebook Effectively For Your Business Success. I realize there is a lot of work that needs to go into this before I launch it, but am really excited to do this because I have been approached many times to help others with their Facebook pages because I can't stop talking about how amazing Facebook is!
But...... Most importantly after a magnificent breakthrough with my coach, Chris Makell I decided on my business name!

Heather Nieves 'Creating Positive Connections'!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that does not have a coach, I highly recommend it! It is worth the investment! Regardless of the stage you are in life or your business, a coach can really take you to the next level and help you break through so many obstacles that you may not have been able to realize on your own! Some of the biggest and most successful people in the world have coaches and some of us might think, why do they have a coach when they are already so successful? I admire those that have coaches because to me it says they want more in their lives and realize they can continue to improve, whether it is in their personal or professional lives.

My spiritual life and relationship with God has never been better and I am so grateful for this. Until next time..... Big Hugs!!!!

I'm on my way!

I love my life! It is truly so important to surround yourself with good people! Good people that are positive, successful, happy and loving! :) I am living that life! I just received a call from a friend, Mona that I met through what I call my Tony Robbins family and she asked me to help her organize a Women's Empowerment Event this weekend and speak at it! Wow am I surprised and honored! I could not say no, because God has put her in my life right now for a reason! So I'm going to work with my coach, Chris Makell this week on my presentation, but most importantly, I'll just be ME! ;) This opportunity really just shows me how I am manifesting my business (that is still un-named, but who knows maybe this weekend it will come to me!). I am still working with my coach on my business plan (for those of you looking for an update!)

We returned from Florida last week! We drove down, stopped in NC, stayed with a friend of mine then drove the remainder of the way to Jacksonville. My husband and I were able to spend some genuine quality time together, it was wonderful! We went to the Zoo before his company, Qivana convention. We saw the new product MetaboliQ launch. It was so exciting!

Our Speed Networking event is tomorrow night and we are expecting over 25 people. I look forward to meeting more amazing people and connecting them to one another, as I do so well! :)

My Life is truly blessed and I thank God every day! Until next time..... Hugs from Heather! :)

2010 is creating Momentum!

2010 is off to an amazing start! I had a girls night in last weekend and wow was it tons of fun! I love sitting back and looking at the energetic and diverse group of people that I have attracted into my life! There were women in my home in their 20s through their 40s and that is such a beautiful thing to me! :) Beyond my personal event planning (which I naturally introduced magnificent women to one another in my home!) our networking group is doing great and growing fast! I have a session with my coach this week to continue developing my business idea into a concrete business model. My goal is to have it launched on or before April 1st, my coach, Chris tells me it will be launched WAYY before then! I'm so excited!

I'm also super excited about the Speed Networking event I have planned on February 9th, 2010 at 6:30pm at Jesse Camille's Restaurant in Naugatuck, CT! I attended an event recently and had a lot of fun and immediately knew I had to organize one of my own! :) I had exchanged emails with a wonderful woman named Rachel Harrison online this past summer and we had intentions on getting together, yet our schedules did not permit. So we finally connected Tuesday at my networking group and we have even more in common than we realized! She also offered to sponsor some of my events which is sooo exciting because I want my events to remain affordable. So the Speed Networking event will have refreshments thanks to Rachel!

Some of my other goals this year are to get our home office organized by hiring Ronelle Stankus, who is a Virtual Assistant but also offers in home organizing. Get a system in place to have our finances in order (monitor/manage what comes in and what goes out). My goal is to read 2 books a month or at least 24 books this year! We'll be attending Tony Robbins Date With Destiny later in the year!

If I haven't said it before, I LOVE networking and building relationships and connecting others! Until next time.......
